The role holder will be responsible for assistance with asset and software management, procurement, and budget forecasting within the technology department.  Will work in close liaison with the Procurement and Finance departments. This will include gaining a full understanding of the architecture and platforms within all parts of Yell group in order to challenge spend where appropriate. The Role Holder will be the primary point of contact for departmental management, identifying and championing cost saving opportunities whilst maintaining regular communication. The role holder will also feed into software and hardware asset management functions providing administration support of requests and operational tasks, ensuring data accuracy, compliance and cost avoidance measures are maintained.  Role holder will undertake reviews to identify and maintain cost saving initiatives.

Accountabilities:

• To assist in the management of new and existing supplier relationships with the Procurement team, providing reports on KPI data to business owners
• Provide first line legal and procurement advice to the department for all activities, and feed into those Group functions as necessary 
• Analyse Technology contract terms and conditions to advise of any potential compliance issues with software, feeding into the Software Asset Management function
• Assist with asset management function as necessary.
• To be aware of changes to either existing or new implementations of technologies in order to challenge spend
• Pro-actively provide reporting to Technology, Finance and Procurement staff as and when required
• Manage or contribute to specified projects in order to meet the agreed objectives
• Proactively manage contract renewals to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and provide cost reductions
• Working closely with the finance team, manage and undertake budget forecasting activities for the all UK entities of Technology, maintaining accurate long term schedules of all operational spend

Knowledge, Skills and Experience (Minimum Level):

• Qualified to degree level ideally in Commercial Law or Finance related subjects
• Thorough knowledge of IT processes, procedures applications and technology
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft office products
